The lighting objective for indoor tennis is to ensure excellent visibility enabling both players to follow the path of the ball. The ball, regardless of its location and speed, should always be clearly and comfortably visible. In the past, the light was directed to a white ceiling to reflect back indirectly towards the court surface. This requires a tremendous amount of output to achieve appropriate lighting levels. The typical light fixture being 400 watts and above ensured that high energy bills were guaranteed.
Sirius LED Non-glare Lighting
Our Sirius LED non-glare products offer an indirect light, and the 79 watt fixtures are installed in a continuous line along both sides of the court. This creates wonderful even visibility across the playing surface, the right sense of brightness and sufficient contrast between the ball and the background.
